Acrobat 9 Pro question

I am trying to create an Adobe document with editable fields. When creating the form in Live Cycle Designer, I would like to add 2 drop down boxes that will automatically populate with information from an excel spread sheet. An example: I want to have it so that if a certain city is selected from one drop down box, the other will populate with corresponding information automatically. Is this possible? Does it require scripting? Also, can I have a master excel spreadsheet that if changes are made to it, it will automatically change the information in the drop down boxes? Can it be put onto a shared drive so that the master will change the Adobe form and can be accessed by several people?
